We are looking for an Animal Care Technician II to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in Bethesda, MD.

What you will do!
In the Animal Care Technician II role, you will use existing SOPs and quality assurance standards to perform daily animal husbandry duties, to include performing daily water bottle and cage checks; providing appropriate food and water; performing cage changing and/or cage cleaning; and recording animal health concerns. You will also be asked to maintain accurate records of things like animal breeding/weaning, as well as housing or support areas, and you may also be tasked with receiving, inspection, and housing of incoming animals. You may assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of animal species, and other duties may include monitoring personnel and equipment entry into various rooms, as well as operating required equipment and general housekeeping.
Who are we looking for?
A candidate that possesses a high school diploma or general education degree is required; minimum one year experience performing basic animal care also required. ALAT eligibility required, ALAT certification preferred.
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - 20.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
