What you will do!

In this role you will care for the animals used in research and development studies. Perform duties related to the maintenance of experimental animals such as feeding and caring for animals, cleaning cages, holding animals for treatment by laboratory technician or maintaining inventory and animal identification records. Perform cleaning/sanitation of animal facility and equipment. Responsible for bio-safety and bio-security of the animals. May partner with pre-clinical investigators to assist and support veterinarians with surgery, dosing, post-op care and monitoring of animal studies. Perform all other related duties as assigned. 

Who are we looking for?

A candidate that possesses a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of two (2) years directly related laboratory animal experience with both mice and rats in an AAALAC accredited facility is required.  AALAS certification at the AALAS certification at the ALAT level or above preferred.  Candidate should be able to work independently and should be self motivated.

The pay range for this position is $26 - 28.00 per hour.  Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
