What you’ll do

The Microbial Solutions team located in Newark, DE is seeking a Laboratory Assistant.

Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 to 5pm.

Job Summary

Provide daily support to technologists to ensure that all laboratory functions are carried out within regulatory and GMP guidelines in accordance with 21 CFR parts 210 and 211, in addition to ISO 17025 guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

Obtain working knowledge of the Quality System and Laboratory Information System.
Support the daily operation of a microbiological testing laboratory, including but not limited to:
Assist and support daily customer sample processing under supervision, including but not limited to:
Comply with all aspects of laboratory safety, safety stations, safety manuals, safety SOP’s and MSDS/SDS sheets.
Provide backup for any laboratory functions as needed.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

Education: High school diploma required. Associate degree in Microbiology or related discipline preferred.
Experience: 0-2 years related experience in a laboratory setting.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Certification/Licensure: None.
Other: Must have the ability to work in a fast paced and team-oriented work environment.
