What you will do!
In this role, you will observe, monitor, and document the health and physical environment within animal facility. Perform routine animal husbandry tasks to include the cleaning, feeding, and watering of laboratory animals; the cleaning of cages, related ancillary equipment; and the maintenance of animal care environments. Collaborate with the veterinary staff to ensure that the health and welfare of laboratory animals are maintained.
Who are we looking for?
A candidate that possesses a high school diploma or GED is required, (a B.S. in either animal science or similar discipline preferred); has a minimum 0-6 months directly related animal care and handling experience in a laboratory animal facility. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for what is listed. AALAS certification at the ALAT level preferred.
The pay range for this position is $22-23 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
