What you’ll do
Full Time 40 Hours/Week
Perform basic laboratory and record-keeping tasks with supervision. Assist staff with the day-to-day operations in Laboratory Science departments.
What you’ll need
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wash and dry glassware and distribute to appropriate locations within the laboratory. Keep glass-washing area clean and organized. May sterilize glassware and other items using an autoclave.
Transport packages between buildings daily.
Maintain clean work areas, stock assigned areas and perform general laboratory housekeeping.
Perform discard of reagents and batch materials.
Operate basic lab equipment and associated software systems.
Assist in maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Collect, record data and perform all tasks in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Assist in maintaining facility reagent and supply inventory.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
Experience: None.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Certification/Licensure: Must have valid, state-issued, driver’s license.
Other: Must be detail-oriented and have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office software.
The pay range for this position is $17.00/hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location
