What you will do!

In this role you will care for the animals used in research and development studies.  You will also perform duties related to the maintenance of research animals such as feeding and caring for the animals, cleaning cages, restraining animals for treatment by laboratory technicians or maintaining inventory and animal identification records. Additional responsibilities will include cleaning/sanitation of the animal facility and equipment.  You will also be responsible for bio-safety and bio-security of the animals.  You may partner with pre-clinical investigators to assist and support veterinarians with surgery, dosing, post-op care and monitoring of animal studies.


Who are we looking for?

A candidate that possesses a High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent required. A minimum of two (2) years directly related laboratory animal experience in an AAALAC accredited facility.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.  AALAS certification at the ALAT level or above preferred.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 – 28.00 per hour.  Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
