What you will do!
The Animal Care Technician's primary role is to monitor daily animal health and welfare while performing daily animal health observations, and animal husbandry duties to maintain quality and health of research animals, to include: perform daily water bottle /automatic water line and cage checks; provide appropriate food and water; perform cage changing and/or cage cleaning as required per SOP and/or specified protocols.
What you’ll need
A candidate that possesses a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Six months experience in research animal care and husbandry preferred. In addition, achieve Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification within twelve months of eligibility to sit for the examination.
The pay range for this position is $20-22 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
