The pay range for this position is $17.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
We are seeking a Necropsy Lab Assistant for our Safety Assessment site located in Reno, NV.
The following are responsibilities related to the Necropsy Technician 1 position:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in data recording.
- Ensure the laboratory is clean and orderly.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), Health & Safety standards and department policies/procedures in the performance of all duties.
- Receive, label and store laboratory supplies
- Perform basic necropsy and histology support procedures (documentation, solution preparation, labeling, sample container preparation, cassette labeling, slide/block match, block sealing and tissue bagging, etc.)
- Assist in receipt of samples, in completion of tracking documentation, and in preparation of pathology materials and data for shipment and archiving.
- Assist in ordering supplies.
What you’ll need
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.
- Experience: None.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Certification/Licensure: None.
