What you’ll do
We are seeking an Animal Care Technician I to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in Poolesville, MD.
As an Animal Care Technician I, you will maintain, monitor, and document the health, well-being, and physical environment of animals on-site.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Monitoring daily animal health and welfare while performing daily animal health observations.
- Animal husbandry duties include daily water bottle /automatic water line and cage checks; provide appropriate food and water; environmental enrichment; perform cage changing and/or cage cleaning as required.
- Maintain records related to the animal and facility functions; record animal health concerns and report as needed.
- Assists with restraint, handling, and manipulation of various animal species.
- Receive, inspect, and house incoming animals.
- General housekeeping.
