Technician II FacilitiesWork with Purpose

Perform general site maintenance duties and assist in providing mechanical, carpentry, plumbing and other trade skills to meet the needs of the physical plants.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform physical plant repairs pertaining to but not limited to, painting, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, sink/toilet repairs.
• Perform duties related to work requests (lab equipment, repairs).
• Support outside contractors in renovation projects.
• Dismantle and relocate equipment as necessary
• Assist in moving office contents within the site, including furniture, files, etc. as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance repairs and services.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
• Must be available to respond to facility emergencies on an as-needed basis, in accordance with the Company’s On-Call Policy.

 

• Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
• Experience: 5 years related experience in trade.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Certification/Licensure: Valid Driver’s license.

•    Other: Must have knowledge of general trade skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.); the ability to organize work load and effectively accomplish tasks in a timely fashion; the ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team; and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must have basic computer skills.
