This role involves data entry into the archive index and handling materials for requests, shipments, or disposals in a secure and controlled access GLP regulated archive.  Depending on skills and background, you may be responsible for data entry, materials handling, or a combination. 

This position requires coming into the office. May occasionally be required to work overtime.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize, catalog, place and retrieve archived materials in a secure and controlled access archive in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP) and good laboratory practice (GLP).
  • Utilizes the archival management system for indexing, maintaining and locating materials.
  • Data entry
    • Enter information about stored items and their locations into the index.
    • Generate barcoded labels from the index system and affix them to the appropriate items in storage.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by cross-referencing entered information with physical inventory.
    • Collaborate with archivist to confirm information and resolve discrepancies.
    • Shelve items for permanent retention and document in the indexing system.
  • Materials handler
    • Retrieve materials from archive warehouse based on inventories.
    • Securely package items to ensure they are protected during transit.
    • Prepare pallets for shipment by labeling them accurately and arranging for transportation.
    • Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate records are maintained.
    • Load/unload pallets from couriers using a pallet jack or other tools.
    • Document placement of the items onto pallets within the computerized index system.
    • Collaborate with archivist to confirm information and resolve discrepancies.
    • Shelve items for permanent retention and document in the indexing system.
  • Upholds archive security procedures and maintains the integrity of archived materials.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


 

The pay range for this position is $19.00-$21.00/hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
