What you’ll do
Perform basic tasks as outlined by supervisor to provide temporary (seasonal) assistance within a department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office/Administrative/Clerical:
- Perform basic clerical and administrative tasks, including filing, typing, copying and collating documents, preparing mailings, answering phones, etc.
- Perform simple laboratory tasks, including glass washing, lab clean-up, etc.
- Perform simple animal husbandry tasks, including watering, feeding and cleaning cages.
- Perform simple maintenance and upkeep on buildings and grounds, including carpentry repairs, exterior and interior painting, minor repairs to equipment, snow removal, etc. as assigned.
In all departments:
- Take proper safety precautions and utilize appropriate safety gear/equipment in the performance of all duties.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $17.00/hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
What you’ll need
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) preferred.
- Experience: None.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Certification/Licensure: None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
