What you’ll do
Full Time – 40 Hours/Week - Must be able to start within one month
Perform routine preparation of vehicles and test article dosage solutions for use in toxicology studies with close supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare bulk vehicles and test article formulations utilizing various mixing methods and apparatus.
· Prepare dosing aliquots and formulation samples for solutions, suspensions and dispensations under supervision.
· Ensure accurate recording of test article and vehicles/reagents to maintain accountability and inventory.
· Calibrate, operate and assist in maintenance of basic laboratory equipment.
· Collect, record data and perform all tasks in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices Regulations (GLPs), study protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Perform daily verification of formulation calculations and data quality control checks.
· Perform study preparation activities including labelling aliquot and sample tubes, study book set-up and laboratory set-up/clean-up.
· Assist with glassware washing and maintain cleanliness and general appearance of the Formulations Laboratory.
· Perform other related duties as assigned
The pay range for this position is $21.00/hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
What you’ll need
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Education: Bachelor’ degree (B.S.) preferred
· Experience: Minimum of 0 to 1 years laboratory experience
· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
· Certification/Licensure: Must have valid, state-issued, driver’s license.
· Other: Must be detail-oriented and have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and lift.
- Must be able to regularly wear safety equipment and clothing in compliance with OSHA regulations and company SOPs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to regularly measure and combine chemicals in order to prepare test article for use in the laboratory.
- Regularly record data by hand or on a computer terminal.
- Must be able to regularly stand approximately 6 to 8 hours a day.

- Must be able to regularly communicate with other personnel and sponsors regarding all aspects of the day to day operations of the Formulations Laboratory.

- General research laboratory working conditions.
