As an Assistant Veterinary Technician for our team in Sherbrooke, you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.     In this role, primary responsibilities include:

As an Assistant Veterinary Technician for our team in Sherbrooke, you will be responsible for the well-being of our laboratory animals. Your contribution will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.
 
 
In this role, primary responsibilities include: 

  •  Safely hold and restrain animals during veterinary examination and interventions
  • Perform simple medical treatments (topical, food supplementation) under veterinary supervision. 
  • Maintain the veterinary laboratory, surgical suites and support spaces
  • Keep inventory and ensure adequate supplies of materials and instruments used in surgeries, in the veterinary laboratories and in the emergency kits. 
  • Maintaining surgical instruments and equipment in proper working order, including the cleaning, care, and sterilization of appropriate supplies
