A Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for: performing routine maintenance service and repairs in buildings, on the grounds, and with cages. The individual in this role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty, such as plumbing, lighting and other entry level electrical needs, door/door hardware, carpentry, painting, grounds maintenance, cage maintenance, and/or equipment servicing and support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities •    Perform a variety of routine preventative and corrective maintenance services and repairs in areas such as: plumbing, carpentry, painting, equipment servicing/support, fixing/replacing door/door hardware and glass, operating various power/hand tools and grounds equipment, and assisting electricians. •    Assist with cage maintenance/set up and assists with other complex maintenance duties. •    Implement general and preventative maintenance and testing procedures on assets such as incinerators, lift pits, and animal watering systems. •    Work on construction projects, including tear-down/build-up projects. •    Assist with problem-solving and assists with corrective action preventative action (CAPA) responsibilities.  •    Keep records/documentation of assigned work and work accomplished. •    Assist with constructing caging, may include limited welding. •    Conduct routine equipment tours and/or inspections. •    Other duties as assigned.
