What you’ll do
We are looking for a Cagewash Technician II to join our Insourcing Solutions Team in Washington, DC.
• Review, comprehend and comply with all SOP's and quality assurance standards pertaining to specific area
• Oversees daily work assignments of cagewash staff, ensures the work and all related documentation is completed in a timely manner
• Responsible for conducting trouble shooting on the equipment and reporting any problems to the Supervisor for resolution
• If necessary, communicates directly with the manufacturers on problems with the equipment and sees through to resolution
• Provides mentorship and training to less experienced staff, either as re-training, group training or new hire training
• Operates equipment and uses supplies according to safety guidelines; performs general housekeeping and adhere to safety procedures
• Sanitizes, maintains, and repairs caging materials as needed with meticulous attention to detail. Maintains cagewash facilities in a clean and organized manner, in adherence with all SOP and facility requirements
• Disposes of waste materials in a safe and thorough manner as required
• Maintains facility equipment and performs routine preventative maintenance on cagewash and autoclaves, including routine inspection of cleaning filters and roto-arms
• Assists with the receipt, stocking and maintenance of supply inventories
• Prepares and submits required written records, charts, logs and inventories
• Actively interacts with customers as required to resolve customer requests, inquiries, and complaints and to provide technical assistance
• Maintains consistent practice of general company and safety policies and procedures and MSDS guidelines, including those related to biohazards and radioactive substances. Performs all duties in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Maintains exemplary personal attendance level and adheres to work schedule in accordance with required staffing levels to ensure that assigned duties are completed
What you’ll need
• Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Experience: A minimum of nine (9) months successful performance in Cagewash facility operations.
The hourly range for this position is $18-$21/hour
