Laboratory Assistant – Sample Management - Student 

As a Laboratory Assistant for our Sample Management department at the Senneville and Ville St-Laurent location, you will be responsible for handling frozen study samples, while ensuring that all samples received are accounted for, and well stored. This role allows the laboratory to have all samples required for analysis in a timely and organized manner. 

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

• Perform reception, verification and storage of samples;
• Prepares samples for analysis in the laboratories;
• Ensure the integrity of the studies and fulfill the regulatory agencies requirements by performing the activities according to the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) rules;
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Key Elements

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

• High school diploma;
• Evidence of flexibility and ability to work independently;
• Basic working knowledge of computers;
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes;
• Be able to work at both the Senneville and Ville St-Laurent sites
• 1-2 years of relevant experience is an asset.

• Location and Transportation:     
  • Senneville: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1. We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station.
  • Ville St-Laurent: 7170 rue Frederick-Banting, Saint-Laurent, QC, H4S 2A1. Free parking;
• Pay: $17.00 per hour
• Schedule: Full time during summer period and Every Saturday or Sunday (8 AM-4 PM) with option do work more days if desired. (Bonus 2.75$/hr on Weekend)
