What you’ll do
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment within applicable SOP’s, regulatory, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure proper installation and operation of machinery and equipment in order to meet qualification standards.
- Perform troubleshooting activities on equipment as necessary.
- Order equipment, replacement parts, and service as directed by the team lead.
- Coordinate the repair of laboratory equipment by outside vendors.
- Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures via the building automation system and assist with the issuing of deviations.
- Assist with re-qualification validations to meet performance standards and protocols.
- Utilize the CMMS to track and close equipment work orders.
- Tag all new equipment and enter into the CMMS.
- Participates in 24-hour on-call support for freezer/refrigerator as scheduled. Responds to emergencies as needed.
What you’ll need
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.
- Experience: 1-2 years related experience working with laboratory equipment.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Certification/Licensure: None
- Other: Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
