What you’ll do
We are seeking an experienced Central Services Technician I to join our Insourcing Solutions team located in Cambridge, MA.
As the Central Services Technician I, you will provide cleaning and maintenance of laboratory animal caging, equipment, and cage preparation areas, as well as cleaning of animal support areas.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Transport caging and equipment between animal areas and cage washrooms.
- Receive and store feed, bedding, and supplies.
- Provide quality assurance to the cagewash area.
- Ensure that all logbooks, checklists, and other records are completed in a timely fashion.
- Conduct and collect various aseptic sampling for the monitoring of water quality, sanitized animal racks, and equipment.
- Inspect enrichment devices, cages, and other items, and perform all other related duties as assigned.
What you’ll need
The following are minimum requirements related to the Central Services Technician I position:
- High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent
- Minimum of six months experience working in a laboratory animal facility performing cage wash duties, or working with glassware cleaning or a commercial dishwashing operation.
The pay range for this position is $20.00-22.00 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
